Bid day was by far the most nerve racking and exciting days of recruitment week. I remember being so nervous while holding the bid card in my hand as we had to wait to open them. When it was finally time to open it, I was shaking so much that I could barely pull the card out of the envelope. It took me forever to read it while all the other girls were screaming out of joy. When I finally figured out that it said "Kappa Alpha Theta", I was overwhelmed with joy; this was exactly where I wanted to be. I ran out of the building and to the group of Theta women. I had never felt so welcomed or loved by such a large group of women and in that moment, I knew that I was where I was meant to be. I was home. -Ashley Kerby
