RECRUITMENT

Hi, my name is Emma Flolo, and I am the 2020 Chief Recruiting Officer for Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Idaho. This organization has provided me with a safe space on our campus to explore my potential as both a member and a student. I love that my position allows me to give back to my chapter, while also giving me the chance to show other women just how amazing this home of mine truly is! The relationships that I have built with the women in this chapter are something that I hold so dearly, and will carry with me long after these four years are up. I am so lucky to call Kappa Alpha Theta my home, so if you find yourself looking for a girl gang, I recommend giving Greek Life a try!

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I wear during recruitment?

A good place to look for this answer is the Idaho Panhellenic Instagram page. When the date for recruitment is getting closer, they make posts about outfits, and also usually do live Q&A's in order to answer any questions! Here is a link to their Instagram, https://www.instagram.com/idahopanhellenic/.

Someone wants to write me a letter of recommendation, what should I do?

Theta has an online form that can be filled out, https://kappaalphatheta.formtitan.com/reference_form_legacy_introduction?fld80=003f400000mZHXFAA4#/.

It is also okay if you want to mail a hard copy to our address, and address it to our Chief Recruitment Officer. If you choose to do this, please do so a while before recruitment to ensure that it is received in time. Our address is, 630 Elm St, Moscow, ID 83843.

My family member is in a house, do I have to be in that house too?

Everyone's recruitment process is their own process, and everyone's paths will lead them where they are meant to be! So therefore, no, you do not have to be in the same house as your family member, but if it is meant to be your home then it is definitely possible!

I am not your traditional Freshman (I transfered, took a gap year, etc.), can I still participate in recruitment?

Yes! No matter the age, or academic year, as long as you are a full time student at the University of Idaho, you can participate in recruitment - and we encourage you to!
